Tiffin Motorhomes Tours
Having had two different Tiffin Motorhomes over the past 6 years, and being an active member of the TiffinRVNetwork I've heard lots of stories by fellow Tiffin owners of their trips to the Tiffin Motorhomes plant in Red Bay, AL. Tiffin's reputation for superior service just makes it a desired trip for many owners. Indeed, some consider it a pilgrimage and snowbirds frequently plan their semi-annual migrations to coincide with a Red Bay visit to have normal service work performed as they pass by. Having an excellent dealer in I've never really had to go to Red Bay for any repairs. I did want to go there to see our 2007 Allegro Bus being built but just could not afford the time away and that error still bothers me today. It's sort of like hearing you have a new baby but not being there for their birth. Eventually I did have an issue that required a trip to Red Bay. It took 6 years, but I finally had a reason. I needed a sidewall repaired that could only be done by the pros at Tiffin's service center so I called up Bob Tiffin, who scheduled an appointment for me.
While in Red Bay, I planned on observing the repair process as well as taking the plant tour and checking out some of the other aspects of Tiffin Motorhomes. I was particularly interested in the Powerglide chassis plant. The Powerglide chassis has been meeting with rave reviews and I really wanted to see just how this chassis was put together. Also, Tiffin's new state of the art paint facility in Belmont, MS was high on my list of things to do. While there I took a number of photos and will report what I saw in the following topics.
